Revenue down, costs up in BC Ferries’ year end results

BC Ferries today released their year end results for 2011/12, in which the corporation reports a loss of $16.5 million in the year to March 31.

Whilst revenue from fares decreased by $1 million compared to fiscal 2011, costs have increased by more than $10 million, primarily because of rising fuel prices and higher amortisation costs.  A copy of today’s financial statement can be downloaded here.
