In an announcement today, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MoTI) has provided the first details of the proposed 2013 Coastal Ferries consultation.

This second phase of the BC Coastal Ferries Community Engagement  will run from November 18 to December 20, 2013 and will involve at least 20 public meetings in ferry-dependent communities.  A public meeting will be held at The Haven, Gabriola Island on Tuesday, December 10 between 5pm and 8pm. As before, the first 90 minutes will be an “open house” session, followed by a 90 minute Question and Answer period starting at around 6.30 pm. Representatives of MoTI will attend together with BC Ferries officials.

Details of planned changes to ferry services are expected to be announced on November 18.
